Read Tom Sawyer to a Dog - children, teens, families
Trained Sonoma County Humane Society volunteers with their trained Pet Assisted Therapy dogs will read with children, teens and families at the Central Library. This two-hour family reading event will incorporate easy reader editions of Tom Sawyer for use by young and reluctant readers. Five dog teams will be spaced apart in the Forum Room to provide an intimate reading environment for each participating reader. Tom Sawyer-themed craft activities also will be included.
Paws to Read Tom Sawyer to a dog - children
The Windsor Regional Library will have easy reader editions of Tom Sawyer available for children to read to our reading assistance dogs from Paws for Healing, under the Paws for Reading program.
Readers' Theatre - all ages

Act Like a Pirate - school-aged children
Tom Sawyer and his friends pretended to be pirates, and you can, too! Learn to talk like a pirate, dress like a pirate, and find buried treasure like a lucky pirate. For school-aged children.
