Donate Books and Materials to the Library

The Friends of the Library groups help support the branches by selling books and other materials, and they welcome your donations. 

Friends of the Santa Rosa Libraries

Materials accepted: good used books, records, sheet music, tapes, CDs, DVDs and videocassettes.

Please do not bring: magazines, textbooks/computer manuals/law books/encyclopedias more than 5 years old.

Donation hours:

Central Library: items may be dropped off at any time on the loading dock behind the Central Library building; if you require a    donation receipt, please drop items off during open hours.

Northwest Library: library open hours.

Rincon Valley Library: library open hours.

Friends of the Cloverdale Library

Materials accepted: clean, good condition books, magazines, audio- and video-casettes, CDs, and DVDs.

Donation hours: library open hours.

River Friends of the Library

Materials accepted:Clean hardback and paperback books, cassettes, videos, CDs and DVDs.

Please do not bring: textbooks, encyclopedias, magazines, or computer books.

Donation hours: library open hours.

Friends of the Healdsburg Library

Materials accepted: clean hardback and paperback books, magazines, audio- and video-cassettes, CDs, and DVDs.

Donation hours: library open hours.

Friends of the Petaluma Library

Materials accepted: clean hardback and paperback books (including encyclopedias within 5 years of publication), recent magazines, and recordings of all types (audio- and video-casettes, DVDs, and records).

Donation hours: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Please bring donations to the back door, inside the fence.

Rohnert Park-Cotati Friends of the Library

Materials accepted: books, CDs, DVDs, books on tape, videos & other media, and recent magazines.

Please do not bring: books that are out-of-date, dirty, damaged or moldy, out-of-date magazines, scratched or warped discs or self-recordings.

Donation hours: library open hours.

Friends of the Sebastopol Library

Materials accepted: books and any other materials clean and in good condition.

Please do not bring: textbooks that are more than 5 years old, financial guides, or magazines

Donation hours: library open hours, except during winter holiday weeks or book sale weeks.

Friends of the Sonoma Valley Library

Materials accepted: books, DVDs, CDs, records, and videocasettes.

Donation hours: library hours preferred; donations may be left at the Donate Books Here shed behind the library.

Friends of the Windsor Library

Materials accepted: books, CDs, DVDs, books on tape, videos & other media, and recent magazines.

Please do not bring: books that are out-of-date, dirty, damaged or moldy, out-of-date magazines, scratched or warped discs or self-recordings.
