Drop by the library in the afternoon, check out a book, and soak up some art! 

The Guerneville Library hosts an art show featuring the work of six Sonoma County artists.  This show runs August 2 – 28, Mondays through Saturdays from 1 – 6 p.m.

The Rohnert Park-Cotati Library will have a photography show August 17 – 28, Mondays through Saturdays from noon – 6 p.m.

Winners of the Why I Love the Library contest will be announced in an awards ceremony Saturday, April 10 at 2:30 p.m. in the Forum Room of the Central Library. Congratulations to the finalists!

Chew On This!Join us also on Saturday, April 24 at 6:30 p.m. for the  second annual Chew On This! fundraising event at the Central Library. Following a book signing, silent auction and cocktail party, dinner guests will dine and visit with favorite local authors. Tickets available now from the Sonoma County Public Library Foundation.

Tom Sawyer coverPick up your copy of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and join us for The Big Read this spring!  During this countywide reading program, the Library will be hosting book discussions and special events for children and adults from April 3 until mid-May.

The Big Read Sonoma includes many other events throughout the county during April: plays, camping for kids, radio theater, and more!

The Big Read is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services and Arts Midwest.

Tax FormsForms and instructions for basic state and federal tax returns are available in Library branches.

Volunteer tax preparers will also be available in some libraries between early February and April. Check with your local Library to find out if volunteers are scheduled there.
