The 2006 edition of this ongoing series was a new title for our Library. “The Retail Survey is designed to provide a comprehensive review of retail sales activity in every county and city in California. In total, the Survey reports on the historical sales trends in each of over 500 individual market areas in California, based on sales activity of over 490,000 individual retail outlets.” For instance, the number of clothing stores in Santa Rosa has grown from 121 in 1995 to 163 in 2005. The survey provides demographic information, as well as rankings in many areas. The 2007 edition is being processed now and will soon be available.
