Nina Wemyss, distinguished wine historian and lecturer, has created lively and stimulating programs on wine, art, and civilization and presented them to discerning audiences throughout the world. She will present a talk illustrated with images on “The History of Winegrowing in California” that will interest everyone in the wine business.
The story of California winegrowing is intricately entwined with the rich history of the State. Long before the orange groves, before the discovery of gold, while Los Angeles was a pueblo, and Yankees were foreigners, winemaking was an established part of California life. The rich images and lively insightful narration will form a backdrop for a memorable evening of alluring Kendall Jackson wines accompanied by fine hors d’oeuvres.
Proceeds will benefit the Sonoma County Wine Library.
