The Redwood Empire Small Business Development Center is hosting the answer – a one day training event with six workshops covering all aspects of your business. The exceptionally low registration fee includes a professional bound course book covering all six sessions, access to online resources and further training materials, breakfast, lunch and beverages, and an opportunity to network with your small business peers.
These workshops have been designed for optimum user-friendliness and are intended for non-technical small business owners of all skill levels. Participants will also be provided with valuable how-to instructions and sample IT “road-maps” to take back and apply to their own business.

“First, we will explain the main concepts and the terminology of bookkeeping for a small business: what a balance sheet contains, the difference between cash and accrual basis, income statement (also called profit-loss), cash flow, and how these different aspects of recording and controlling your money interact.
In the second part, we will set up the chart of accounts for a fictitious small business in front of your very eyes: which information you need to get started, how to pay bills, how to enter accounts payable and receivable, and how to know whether you are making money or just moving monies around. ”
