Library 10-day closure

Due to continuing budget constraints, the Library will once again close for 10 days at the end of the year.

All libraries and all online services will be closed from 2 p.m. Thursday, December 23 through Sunday, January 2.  During this time:

The Library, which gets 90 percent of its income from property taxes, needs to cut its operating budget to make up for a shortfall in tax revenues.

We will reopen for regular hours starting Monday, January 3, 2011.

Winter music, gingerbread crafts

Music and gingerbread houseWhether you enjoy classical chamber music or barbershop quartets, there's a musical program for you at the Library this December.

7-day DVDs

DVDs 7 daysStarting November 15, the checkout period for DVDs will be shortened.  DVDs will now check out for 7 days.

All other items are still due in 21 days.

Also, note that on November 15, our new evening hours go into effect.

Evening hours are changing

Evening hours are changing at some Sonoma County Library branches.  Starting November 15, the Central, Cloverdale, Healdsburg, and Sonoma Valley Libraries will be open until 8 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays; the Northwest, Petaluma, and Rohnert Park-Cotati Libraries will be open until 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays; and the Rincon Valley, Sebastopol, and Windsor Libraries will be open until 8 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays.
