Library hours change; Sonoma Valley update

Libraries will be closed Mondays, and all regional libraries will be open Wednesday nights, starting next week.

The date has been set for Sonoma Valley Library to open in its new temporary location at Burlingame Hall. The temporary location will open Tuesday, August 23. Update 8/12/2011: The temporary location will open on a date to be announced.

Sonoma Valley Library Remodeling

Service at the Sonoma Valley Regional Library will be moved to a temporary location for several months while the library building is remodeled.

Library closes: 6 p.m. Saturday, July 16

Last hold request delivery at Sonoma Valley Library: July 5. Items can still be requested for delivery to Sonoma Valley Library. Any item sent after July 5 will be available for pickup at the temporary location when it opens.

Items checked out by July 16: Not due until the temporary location opens.

Item returns after July 16: Return drop box will be available after July 16 at the temporary location. Return box will be available at the Napa Street location until July 29 and will move to the temporary location starting July 30.

New this year, the Library introduces the Rubber Ducky Club, our new baby summer reading program. Designed for parents and their babies aged birth to 35 months, this is a great way to get into the habit of reading with baby.

The Road to College

RoadConsidering college? Teens and their parents are invited to join us for workshops on admissions and financial aid. Test practice and review will also be available.

This series is offered in partnership with the Princeton Review. All sessions are free.

The Road to College series includes:

  • Getting into college – the admissions process and choosing a school
  • Paying for college – scholarships and financial aid
  • SAT and ACT practice test – a full four-hour combined exam, plus review of exam results

Students can sign up in advance for the practice test through the Princeton Review website.
