Tax forms are starting to arrive at the libraries, but we are still awaiting 1040 forms and instructions.  Update February 10: 1040 forms and instructions have started to arrive!  Check with your local library branch to find out if they have them yet.  You can always visit the Tax Forms & Information section on our website for links to download Federal and State tax forms.

Free help with your taxes is available at selected libraries and other locations in Sonoma County, now till April.  Find links to the schedules in our Tax Forms & Information section.

The SuperSearch system has failed and is not expected to be repaired.

Since we can no longer use SuperSearch, which provided online access to search and request items from other North Bay libraries, we are temporarily handling all requests manually. You may still submit your request online, using this new form.

We hope to have a replacement system in place soon, but do not have an estimate yet on when it would be available.

The Sebastopol Library will be closed Tuesday, January 31. The new Express Station will open in the Sebastopol Community Center on Wednesday, February 1.

The Sebastopol Regional Library will close temporarily for upgrades and retrofits.  This is the last week the library will be open in its current location until the upgrades are completed.  During the closure, an Express Station will be open in the Youth Annex at the Sebastopol Community Center at 390 Morris Street for limited hours and services.  Currently planned hours:

Express Station: Tuesday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. plus extended hours until 8 p.m. Wednesdays

Reading Room: Tuesday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Closed: Saturday, Sunday, Monday

The winter-spring 2012 schedule of gardening workshops is now posted.  Free workshops start this Saturday at Rincon Valley, Rohnert Park, and Sebastopol. 

Sebastopol workshops will be at a special location this season: Luther Burbank's Gold Ridge Farm.

Throughout the year, Master Gardeners present Saturday morning workshops at different libraries on topics including grafting, pruning, and design.

The holiday and furlough closure is over!  Libraries are now open regular hours.

Come visit us and pick up some great new books for your new year!  Enjoy storytimes, Read to a Dog, musical programs, and gardening workshops starting this week.  Welcome back to the Library!

Calendar of events

The last day to visit the Library in 2011 is Friday, December 23 before 2 p.m.

To help close our budget gap, all Sonoma County public libraries will shut down at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 23 and reopen Tuesday, January 3. During this time:

• All regional libraries and rural stations will be closed.
• No materials will be due and no fines will accrue. 
• No book drops will be open.
• No access to the Library catalog, My Account, Wine Files, or other website services.
• No wireless Internet access outside libraries.
• No telephone services.
