Sleepaway Girls is a story about Samantha Montgomery and her summer.  She is going to camp for the first time as a CIT to get away from her best friend and her best friend’s boyfriend.  When she arrives she is immediately recognized as the girl from the Dial and Dash commercial.  This does not make her or her new enemy Ashley very happy.

Throughout the book Sam makes new friends and learns to be her own person.  She makes enemies and makes videos of the “sleepaway girls”.  She falls for the wrong guy and tries to fix things with the right one.  During the first summer away from home, Sam learns a lot about herself and not being a push over.  This book is full of surprises and does not get boring.  It is a great book with romance, friendship and humor combined.
