Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
Review by Kathy, Children Services Coordinator, Central Branch
A true werewolf love story, unlike that wishy-washy mainstream book-to-movie series that’s popular right now. Great characters, and I liked how the tension kept building as the temperature was dropping. Will he change? Won’t he? Will she? Is there really a cure? Will Jack give them all away? Read to find out! And I sure hope there is a sequel!

Yesterday 20 teens participated in the Stuffed Creatures event at the Rincon Valley library. Some teens created ugly dolls, some created cute dolls and one boy created pacman! It was a lot of fun! Here are some of the finished stuffed creatures dolls made yesterday.

Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side by Beth Fantaskey
Review by Tiffany, Librarian, Rincon Valley Jessica Packwood is very excited about her senior year of high school. Her excitement is short lived when a new student, Lucius Vladescu, comes into her life posing as a foreign exchange student. Jessica doesn't know much about her birth, only that her parents adopted her from Romania, her birth parents were killed and her birth name is Antanasia. When Lucius calls her by her birth name AND her parents welcome in this strange boy in their home, Jessica is concerned. She soon learns that she is vampire royalty and a pact was made that she would marry Lucius when she turns eighteen. Jessica is appalled and wants nothing to do with the pact, Lucius, or being a vampire. However, Lucius doesn't give up easily and moves in with Jessica and her family. Will Jessica embrace her vampire heritage? Will she honor the pact and marry Lucius? Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side, is funny and romantic. Any Twilight fan will love Beth Fantaskey's story about vampires, teenagers and love.
