DESCRIPTION: Scott Gerber - The Singing Jewish Cowboy      Scott Gerber, the well-known singing cowboy will talk and sing about his life and Sonoma Country history during this program which will delight everyone interested in hearing wonderful music and evocative stories. Scott Gerber is an unlikely mix of Yiddish and cowboy cultures who learned Yiddish and progressive songs from his mother and grandmother. He’s a descendant of the left wing Petaluma chicken ranchers and he carries on the Yiddish and ranching traditions. Scott proudly rides the range and sings cowboy and Yiddish songs.        The program featuring Scott Gerber, which is being sponsored by the Friends of the Petaluma Library, will be held in the Library’s Forum Room. The public is invited to attend free of charge.
