|27 July 2013 - 2:00 p.m. Impressionists on the Water. Presented by Rita Dunlay from the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. The Impressionists wanted to encapsulate the transitory moment. More than 80 paintings and works on paper from artists such as Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Georges Seurat capture the effect of sparkling water and moist light to reflect on pleasure boating and competition. This exhibition coincides with the America’s Cup being held on San Francisco Bay this summer.|
