Robin Lampson

Lamspon, born in Calaveras county, is the sixth child in a family of twelve and the grandson of one of the original '49ers. His book, ("Laughter Out of the Ground"), described as a "novel in cadence," is a narrative poem of one of the epochal chapters in American history--the California gold rush. Sonoma County is included in its broad panorama. In 1933, the author began editing a literary column in the Berkeley Courier. Many of his poems and articles have appeared in various magazines.
