I didn't know I wanted to be a geologist until my freshman year in college. After that first class, I was hooked. I have worked as a geologist for the past two decades, most of that time as an environmental geologist. I have also worked in the oil and geothermal industries and in academic research. My education and field work have taken me to some beautiful places in Minnesota, Arizona, the deserts of southeastern California and Nevada, Antarctica, and the wilds of northern California.
