Coding Camp for Kids: Minecraft Mods

The Coding Camp for Kids: Minecraft Mods has added more dates! These workshops use the popular game Minecraft to teach the basics of the programming language Java. Participants will learn object-oriented programming principles by creating modifications, or mods, in the game during the half-day workshops. Kids entering 6th through 9th grade in the fall are eligible to enroll. Enrollment will take place June 1-14 by phone or email: 707.545.0831 x. 1553 or email@example.com. Enrollment is limited to 20 participants per session. These free workshops will be held on Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the following locations: June 28 at Central Library (FULL), July 12 at Cloverdale Library, July 19 at Sonoma Valley Library (FULL), July 26 at Guerneville, Library August 16 at Sebastopol Library. This project is funded by the Sonoma County Library and by a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian. Additional funding is provided by the local Friends of the Library groups.
