How to Help the Library
Sonoma County Library is a joint powers agency. As such, it is not an
IRS 501(c)(3) organization. Please consult your tax professional if
you wish to determine the tax status of a Library donation. You may
make a tax-deductible donation to the Foundation or to any Friends
group that is an IRS 501(c)(3)
tax-exempt organization.
Become a volunteer
The Sonoma County Library welcomes volunteers at the Central Library
in downtown Santa Rosa, and at the regional libraries throughout the
county.

Join the Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Library groups at the different libraries in the county
are all-volunteer groups that hold fundraising events such as book sales,
sponsor library programs, and support branch needs. More information on the Friends of the Library
Contribute to the Foundation
The Sonoma County Public Library Foundation's mission is to strengthen the
Library and promote literacy and the use of library resources. Each
year the Foundation supports countywide library programs.
