About the Sonoma County Public Library

The Sonoma County Library adopted its first Strategic Plan in September 2000 and a Facilities Master Plan in 2003.

Under a countywide agreement, the Library serves all of Sonoma County.

The Central Library in Santa Rosa is a handsome and functional 60,000 square ft. structure. There are ten regional branches, including a new library building for the Rohnert Park-Cotati Regional branch which opened in June 2003, and two rural stations.

A featured part of the Healdsburg Regional branch is a special Wine Library devoted to viticulture, enology, and the history of wine, which supports research and development within the wine industry of Sonoma County.
