River Friends of the Library

The River Friends of the Library coordinate the Book Sale to raise supplemental funds for the library, support lectures and programs such as art shows and the annual Readers' Theatre, and run the book sale shelf inside the Guerneville Regional Library.

Joining the Friends

Information on joining the Friends is available at the Guerneville Library.

River Friends of the Library is an all-volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to augmenting library services, programs, and materials. The River Friends represent the communities of Guerneville, Monte Rio, Occidental, and Forestville.

The River Friends accept donations of used books throughout the year for book sales. Money from membership dues, book sales, gifts, and memorials helps purchase books and equipment beyond the scope of the library budget. Please bring your donations Tuesdays through Saturdays during hours when the library is open.

Your membership in the Friends contributes to your local community and supports your local library. It also gives you the chance to meet with others of similar interests, use some of your skills for special projects, and just feel good about being needed!

The River Friends is a tax-exempt IRS 501(c)(3) organization.
