The Sonoma County Library is proud to celebrate Black History Month in February 2020 by offering a variety of programing at branches across the county, as well as curated displays and resources. Sonoma County residents are invited to join the library in celebrating and learning about the generations of African Americans who have influenced and enriched the nation and society.
Since 1976, the month of February has been designated Black History Month, or National African American History Month, and is a time to recognize, celebrate, and honor the rich and diverse history of African Americans.
The month-long celebration includes programs and events for all ages. The events are free and open to all. Click here to visit Sonoma County Library's event calendar.
