ARE YOU INTERESTED IN GIVING OF YOUR TIME AND ENERGY AT THE LIBRARY?
We need adult and teen volunteers.
Most of our volunteers work at shelving and re-shelving the many books we circulate. This requires patience and the strength to push loaded book carts. Our need for shelvers is constant. We will train you.
We also need a smaller number of volunteers to repair books, search shelves, and file.
Teen volunteers must be at least 14 years old and commit to volunteering for a minimum of ten hours. Teen volunteering is great form of job training. Add experience to your resume while learning important work place skills like: punctuality, reliability, listening to work instructions and asking questions, and interpersonal skills, among other desirable workplace traits.
Ask at the library for a volunteer application.
The River Friends also accept volunteers to aid in sorting donations, fundraising for the library, and putting together regular booksales. Contact the Friends for more information.
