Take & Make Craft Kits
Sonoma County Library’s Take & Make Craft Kits include an art or science activity for families to pick up at the library each month. Kits include all supplies to make a craft, along with instructions in English and Spanish. A companion video accompanies each craft on the library’s YouTube page.
New Take & Makes are available for pick up at the library around the 15th every month, while supplies last, and are limited to one per patron.

March 2021: Send Our Seniors Mail
Spread some joy to local seniors with the Sonoma County Library Send our Seniors Mail program.
Materials Needed: Any postcard, coloring materials, pen, and a stamp.
Instructions:
- Use the markers to draw or write a sweet message to a senior on the left side of the postcard.
- On the right side of your postcard, find and pick an address from a list of participating Send Our Seniors Mail partners.
- Please do not add your own address to the card.
- Add a stamp and ask your adult to drop it off at your local post-office.
February 2021: Make a Bird Friendly Window Decal
Materials Needed: 1 sheet protector, puffy paints, 1 printed bird template.

January 2021: Shrinky Dink Character Keychains
Materials Needed: Shrinky Dink plastic sheet (recycled plastic #6), colored pencils, keychain ring, and printed character page, Baking sheet, oven, hole punch, scissors, and tinfoil or parchment paper.

December 2020: Make a 3D paper snowflake tree
Spread some joy to local seniors with the Sonoma County Library Send our Seniors Mail program.
Materials Needed: Scissors, skewer stick, tapered Cork, wooden Beads, paper snowflakes, and paper stars, glue.
Instructions: Download PDF
- Download, print, and cut out 7 snowflakes of different sizes. Or cut out your own snowflakes.
- Push pointy end of skewer stick into the center of the small end of the tapered cork. .
- Slide wooden bead onto a skewer.
- Slide largest snowflake onto skewer. Alternate wooden beads with snowflake using progressively smaller snowflake.
- Glue stars back to back on top of stick.
