Yes. If your name is different from the name on the photo ID you use to sign up for a library card, please let library staff know the correct name to use on your account.

No, the Sonoma County Library does not ask for gender on our library card application.

Yes. Privacy protections extend to all patrons, regardless of age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or immigration status. Please see the Sonoma County Library’s Policy to Protect the Confidentiality of Patron Information and Records for more information.

No. Once you return an item to the library, it is removed from your library account.
