Lawyers in the Library

Lawyers in the Library

Get your legal questions answered with Sonoma County Library’s free program, Lawyers in the Library!

Volunteer attorneys offer legal information and referrals at 20-minute consultations on alternate months at the Sonoma County Public Law Library and Sonoma County Library.

Attorneys offer legal information only. They do not provide specific legal advice and should not be considered personal lawyers. Participants sign a waiver stating the consultation does not establish an attorney-client relationship. Sign up in-person 30 minutes before the program starts. Space is limited.

Language translation services are not available for this program; participants are welcome to bring their own interpreter. Participants may also bring support persons, family members, or other affiliated persons to meet with the attorney together.

For deaf and hard-of-hearing participants, the Sonoma County Bar Association will arrange for ASL interpretation with at least two days’ notice. Please contact Reception@SonomaCountyBar.org or (707) 542-1190 ext. 100 for assistance.

Lawyers in the Library is offered in partnership with Sonoma County Library, the Sonoma County Public Law Library, and the Sonoma County Bar Association.
